STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Dirt bike and all-terrain vehicle riders rev their engines and zoom around neighborhood streets across Staten Island. On Tuesday, Mayor Eric Adams announced an 88% increase in seizures of these illegal vehicles when compared with all of last year.
The mayor promised on the campaign trail last year that a crackdown on the illegal vehicles would be a focus of his administration.
